Pastor - Dr Jim Ewing
Jim is a native of Oregon and came to us in October 2008 from First Baptist Church of Paducah, where he served as Discipleship Pastor and Associate Pastor. Prior to entering the ministry, Jim served for over 23 years in the US Air Force as a B-52 pilot, in addition to several command and senior staff assignments. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. He received his Doctor of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His wife, Cheryl, is a Registered Nurse and recently retired as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Western Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah. They have four children: Joshua, Christopher, Sarah, and Stephen; and nine grandchildren.

Ministry Assistant - Edna Pierce
Edna has lived in Calvert City since 1974. After a plant closing in 1989, she went back to school and graduated from Paducah Community College in 1991. She worked in the West Kentucky Community and Technical College library for 10 years and was the administrative assistant for the science and mathematics division for 16 years before retiring in 2018. Her hobbies include family genealogy, reading, scrap-booking, and sewing. Edna joined the FBC staff team in July 2020. CLICK HERE to send an email.

Youth Directors - Lance & Trena Gregory
Lance is a native to FBC and Calvert City, graduating from Marshall County High School. Trena grew up in Dawson Springs, Ky, and graduated from West Hopkins High School, Nebo, Ky. They have been married for 19 years and have 2 teenage girls, Kourtney and Kirsten. Both work full-time; Lance at Wacker Polymers and Trena at Westlake Chemical. Lance was ordained as a Deacon in 2012 and both she and Trena have served in several areas of ministry within the church body. Prior to becoming Youth Leaders in 2016, Lance was an active participant with the FBC Youth for several years and Trena helped chaperone at youth camps, overnight trip, and outings when needed. She also led the Sparks group for the AWANA program and served as a Children's Church teacher.

Children's Director - Crystal Smith
Originally from McCracken County, Crystal moved to Marshall County in 1993 and graduated from Marshall County High School in 1999. She and her husband, Aaron, live in Calvert City with their two young children, Kenadie and Austin. She is the Sparks leader for our AWANA program, a Children's Church teacher, and the leader of the JUMP program on Wednesday nights. CLICK HERE to send an email.

Stacey is a "retired" English and drama teacher in the Marshall County, Graves County, and Murray City school systems. She and her husband, Brandon, live in Murray with their 2 energetic children, Winston and Beatrice, and 3 equally energetic dogs. "Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. " (Col. 3:17)

Vicki obtained her BME in Music Education from Murray State University and an EM+ in Psychometry from MSU. She is a retired teacher from Marshall County School System where she taught Choral and General music for 38 years. Vicki is currently in her 10th year as an adjunct Professor in the Music Department at Murray State University. She is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an altruistic teachers' sorority; Charter member, Past President and Director on the Board of Directors of the Marshall County Arts Commission; past President and current Vice-President of the Calvert City Lions' Club, and has Orff/Kodaly certification. Vicki live in Benton with her husband, David, and 6-pound Yorkshire Terrier, Baxter. Vicki and David have a son, Philip, who lives in Paducah with his wife Cayce. CLICK HERE to send an email.

Ray has been married to his wife, Sheri, for forty-nine years. They have two boys, Jeff and Chris, and seven grandchildren. Ray spent 32 years of his machinist career at the steel mill in Calvert, retiring in 2013. For 40 years, he has attended First Baptist Church in Calvert City, and he serves as a deacon and a building administrator.
