The Worship Ministry
The worship ministry at First Baptist Church is focused on the singular intent of Encountering God in a real and practical way. We do that primarily through corporate worship experiences that are designed to lift up God through music, prayer, and biblically grounded messages. We offer worship services at 10:15 am and 6:00 pm. Music Ministry
Zephaniah 3:17 says,"He (God) will rejoice over you in song. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy!" Music has a way of drawing us closer to God and awakens feelings in us that have lain dormant for some time. Music is used as a tool for ministry here at First Baptist. Listed below are some of the ways to be involved with our music ministry.
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Worship Choir is our main worship choir. The choir sings each Sunday morning during our 10:15 am service. The choir usually presents two major works during the year, one at Christmas, and the other one either at Easter or during the spring / summer. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights from 7:05-8:20. Enrollment is open throughout the year.
KidzPraise Children's Choir
Children's Choir rehearsals are held each Wednesday during the school year from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the children's Sunday School area. Children learn to enjoy music through rhythm, movement, hands-on playing of instruments, music reading, and worship presentations. Our Children's Choir Ministry is offered for children in Kindergarten - Fifth Grade.
We present programs both at Christmas and in the spring. The choir sings during various worship services during the year. The choir year for children begins after Labor Day in the fall and concludes after school is out in May. Enrollment for our Children's Music Ministry is open all year. Come join us! Senior Adult Community Choir
The Senior Adult Community Choir meets for rehearsals each Tuesday morning in the choir room at 10:00 a.m. Musical programs have been presented at area senior centers, nursing homes, and the Paducah Kentucky Oaks Mall during the Christmas season. The enrollment for this choir is open to the community. Come and sing with us as we lift up the Lord in song!
Prayer Ministry
